The Conventions shall be held for the purpose of endorsement of a candidate for Wright County Commissioner and transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention. Wright County Republican Convention Endorses CandidatesPRESS RELEASE
Representative Bruce Anderson of Buffalo was endorsed for Senate in the new district 29 that covers the cites of Buffalo, Monticello, Delano, Montrose, Waverly, Howard Lake, Maple Lake, Annandale, South Haven, and surrounding townships. "It has been an honor to serve Wright County in the House and I will bring that same principled voice to the Senate," said Anderson. Representative Joe McDonald of Delano was endorsed for House in the new district 29A that covers the cities of Delano, Montrose, Waverly, Howard Lake, Annandale, South Haven, and surrounding townships. "It has been an honor and privilege to serve these last two years and I'm looking forward to bringing our conservative message to St. Paul for another term," explained McDonald. David FitzSimmons of Albertville was endorsed for House in the new district 30B that covers the cities of St. Michael, Albertville, Otsego, Hanover, and a portion of Dayton. "I am very humbled to be chosen to bring our Republican message of fiscal responsibility to the voters," said FitzSimmons. Tracy Vetruba of Howard Lake chaired the convention and was elected Wright County Republican Chairman at the convention to take over for David FitzSimmons, who stepped down to run for House. "We have a great board that ran a very successful convention and we are excited to elect our endorsed candidates at all levels in Novemeber," added Vetruba. BPOU MeetingsThe Republican Party of Wright County meets at the Buffalo American Legion on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. The Legion has good food at reasonable prices as well. Click here for a map.
